Job Description
To provide psychological guidance, support, and personal counseling services with appropriate assessment and psychotherapy plans for students.
To provide individual assessment, psychotherapy, psychoeducation, consultation, and crisis intervention services, if the need arises
To maintain updated records and case notes in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional standards of mental healthcare
To conduct psychoeducation training programs for students, as well as faculty and staff, to recognize and handle students in distress
To assist the admissions team with new intake interviews, administering psychometric and personality tests, and suggesting other appropriate criteria for selection
To serve as co-chair of the Student Conduct Committee; maintain conducts records, and (if need be), suggest amendments to Student Conduct policies
Job Requirements
English and Arabic Proficiency.
A degree / Diploma in psychology is a must
Experience with conducting psychometric tests and psychological analysis.
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment,
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Possess a high level of interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with handling teenagers
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Able to work under pressure with a minimum level of supervision.
Able to maintain utmost confidentiality while exercising careful judgment in all department affairs
Experience working with students or Academic setting is preferred SCOPE OF INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS
Contacts are mainly with students and team members of the Non-Academic Student Life and student Wellness team. This position will also include close coordination with the Admission and Recruitment this requires the ability to exercise a considerable degree of interpersonal skills and is responsible for the results of those interactions.
